Vegan House

Great little vegan restaurant with a wide variety of noodle, rice, and curry dishes! We tried the mixed seafood rice noodle soup, seafood and pineapple fried rice, and teriyaki fries - all were delicious, healthy, and filling. Quick service, reasonable prices, and a great selection for anyone who’s vegan or trying to eat healthier. They even have vegan boba drinks made with soy milk - a rare treat! Would definitely recommend!

It’s definitely nice to have a dedicated vegan restaurant right in the heart of Downtown Phoenix. We went on Saturday night for dinner. The place was empty with only 4 people dining. Perhaps that should have been an indication of what to expect. On weekend night at Downtown PHX at a great location should have been packed. I ordered a Pad Thai with just vegetables. I opted to go without any protein to get a good sense for the dish itself. I think the portion was a little on the smaller side. For the price which is relatively equal to what Thai basil just around the corner charges , you would get more serving size there. In addition, the sauce for the Pad Thai was really underwhelming and watered down. It didn’t taste fresh and made from scratch which is really disappointing. The vegetables were raw which I didn’t understand. The zucchini was really hard to eat. They were chunky and raw. Vegan house would not be my first choice in spending my hard earned money unless nothing else was open. You can get the same options Vegan House offers at Thai Basil. Better tasting food and larger portions.

I guess you can say this was my first try with vegan food, so I didn't know what to expect. I had spring rolls, which were really good. The wrap was crunchy, filling was appetizing. For the main dish, I had Dumpling Curry (MILD). The dish was overall okay. And only because I wanna say the curry had a coconut taste to it? I'm not too sure but wasn't a fan of that. Only because I generally don't favor coconut. The vegetables were a little al dente, which I did like. I should have gotten the spicier one, I love spicy! The atmosphere was good, the server was very nice. Overall had a good experience. I like trying new things, so I'll be back eventually to try something different on the menu.
